The 2026 Toyota GRMN Corolla has finally been unveiled, and it's not just a hotter version of the standard Corolla. With a focus on track performance, this car has been designed to tackle the Nürburgring with ease. The "MN" in GRMN stands for "Masters of the Nürburgring," and it's clear that Toyota is serious about making a statement with this car.
The GRMN Corolla features a number of upgrades, including reshaped body panels to maximize aerodynamic grip. The hood and front fenders have been redesigned with additional ducts, and a big rear wing has been added to provide extra downforce. The wing is not only adjustable but also made of carbon fiber, which helps to reduce weight. The hood and fenders are also made of carbon fiber, further reducing the car's overall weight.
The GRMN Corolla also features exclusive shock absorbers designed to handle the vertical loads and bumps of the Nürburgring. The electric power steering has been adjusted to provide enough torque for high-g-force corners, and the torque distribution for the GR-Four all-wheel-drive system has been optimized for straights. The car also comes with sticky 245/40ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires on all corners.
In terms of powertrain changes, the GRMN Corolla makes 302 lb-ft of torque, which is 7 lb-ft more than the standard 2026 model. The horsepower remains unchanged. A new intercooler spray system has been added to support extended track sessions, addressing a common complaint about the early examples of the hot hatch. Every GRMN Corolla comes equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
One notable feature of the GRMN Corolla is the lack of rear seats. This helps to reduce weight by 66 pounds and gives the car a more focused, track-oriented feel. The interior has been trimmed with flashes of red upholstery and belts, as well as suede on the seats, steering wheel, shifter, and e-brake.
