Tesla has launched a new six-seater version of the Model Y in the US, with the extended Model Y L now available for purchase. The Model Y L, which was first introduced in China last year, features a longer wheelbase and overall length, providing more space for passengers and cargo.
The Model Y L Launch Edition is priced at $61,990 and comes with all-wheel drive and a range of up to 325 miles. The vehicle is powered by a dual-motor powertrain, producing 402 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
The Model Y L features a unique interior design, with second-row seats that are designed to provide maximum comfort and legroom. The seats are heated and ventilated, and the third row also features heated seats. The Launch Edition also comes with 12 months of free Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and 12 months of free Supercharger network access.
Tesla has been expanding its lineup of vehicles in recent months, including the introduction of more affordable versions of the Model Y and Model 3. The company has also been working to improve its manufacturing capabilities, with the goal of increasing production and reducing wait times for customers.
