Romain Dumas and Ford Racing took the overall victory at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E, completing the 12.42-mile course in 8 minutes and 18.202 seconds. This is Dumas' sixth Pikes Peak Hill Climb win and his second with Ford Racing, following their 2024 win in the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck.
Dumas' time in the Ford production Mach-E is still short of the record he set in the all-electric Volkswagen ID.R in 2018, which was 7 minutes and 57.148 seconds. However, no sub-eight-minute run has been recorded on the full course since then.
Robin Shute's "SendyCar" finished second overall, with a time of 8 minutes and 29.497 seconds. Shute's team will work on reducing the weight of the car for future runs.
Dumas qualified first in the unlimited-production-based class and third overall. He beat reigning champion Simone Faggioli, who experienced a technical issue during his run. Dan Novembre won the open wheel category with a time of 9 minutes and 1.689 seconds in the 2013 Wolf GB08S TC Special.
Acura also set a new front-wheel drive record with a time of 10 minutes and 33.174 seconds in the 2023 Acura Integra Type-S, driven by Formula Drift champion Dan Yoshihara. The previous record was set in 2018 by Nick Robinson, who completed the course in 10 minutes and 48.094 seconds.
Yoshihara finished sixth in the Time Attack 1 category, which was won by JR Hildebrand with a time of 9 minutes and 30.104 seconds in the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X.
