The Porsche Flachbau RS is the newest one-of-one creation from Porsche's Sonderwunsch department, built from a like-new 2018 911 GT2 RS. This unique model revives the spirit of the 935 racer, with a design inspired by the iconic racing car.
The one-off model features new front fenders and a front bumper, giving it the same slant nose look as the Porsche 935 race car. The Flachbau RS is finished in Grand Prix White paint, paired with exposed carbon fiber, and has a top speed of 211 mph. At this speed, the rear wing is capable of adding 1221 pounds of downforce to the rear axle.
The interior of the Flachbau RS is even more bare than the already spartan GT2 RS it is based upon, with special touches that mark the car's origins. Graphics like the one at the base of the gear shifter reveal the car's unique history. The Grand Prix White paint makes its way to the roll cage in the interior, adding to the car's distinctive look.
Development of the Flachbau RS took Porsche a total of three years, resulting in a truly unique and exclusive vehicle. With its combination of stunning design, impressive performance, and rare heritage, the Flachbau RS is a true masterpiece of automotive engineering.
