This Friday at 9 p.m. Eastern time, the United States of America will be competing in its first game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Paraguay. And if Team U.S.A. wins, it could be the first step towards a new Jeep Wrangler for a whole bunch of Americans who share a name with our nation's first president.
You see, Jeep claims it's America's most patriotic brand, and the brand is putting its money where its mouth is. If the U.S. soccer team finishes on top of the World Cup this summer, the first 100 eligible living Americans legally named "George Washington" will have the chance to drive home in a new Jeep Wrangler.

The rules are relatively simple. First, any U.S. resident legally named George Washington can register at wranglerforwashingtons.com. Stellantis will verify registrations, and the first 100 entrants will be eligible to win the free Wrangler. Registration is open now through the final match of the tournament. If the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team brings home the crown, 100 George Washingtons could drive away with a new off-road toy.
A 60-second television advertisement and TikTok campaign featuring comedian Iliza Shlesinger, who has been dubbed Jeep's "Chief Soccer Officer," accompany the promotion. In the ads, Shlesinger wears Revolutionary War-era regalia and sits behind a parliamentary desk while assuring the public that Jeep will, in fact, give away Wranglers to domestic residents named after our founding father. For the full effect, a massive portrait of George Washington riding in a Jeep Wrangler is mounted behind the comedian.
"If America wins it all and a bunch of George Washingtons end up driving around in brand-new Jeep Wranglers, that’s the kind of chaotic patriotism I want to be part of," said Shlesinger. "The Jeep brand has always represented freedom, adventure and a little bit of rebellion, so giving George Washingtons across America the chance to get a Jeep Wrangler felt perfectly unhinged in the best possible way."
