GMC has unveiled the 2027 Sierra 1500, featuring a complete redesign inside and out, with two new V8 engine options and advanced technology. The new Sierra 1500 will offer General Motors' new small block engines, including a 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8. The larger engine is expected to produce over 400 horsepower.
The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 will also offer a TurboMax four-cylinder engine and a Duramax diesel V6. Each engine will pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The truck's new styling draws inspiration from the Sierra EV, with an evolution of the headlights and a more vertical grille.
Inside, the 2027 Sierra is available with up to three screens on the dashboard, including a 16.3-inch digital infotainment display that moves to reveal a storage cubby. The truck is also available with an 11.5-inch front passenger screen and a MultiPro center console that can transform into a workspace.
The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 will be available in four trims: the Sierra, the SLE, the SLT, and the AT4X. The AT4X trim will feature 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, new Multimatic jounce control dampers, and e-locking differentials front and rear. The Denali Ultimate trim will feature a 6.6-liter V8 engine, a 16-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, and a three-year subscription to Super Cruise.
