Land Rover's in-house customization service, Land Rover Classic, has created four unique Defender V8s for a single customer. The vehicles include a 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top, 110 Station Wagon, and the newly introduced 110 Double Cab Pick-Up. Each model features a distinctive green and purple colorway with a color-changing paint finish called "Spectral Green," which also hints at gold from certain angles.
The exterior design is complemented by a contrasting white roof, a white "expedition cage," and "Defender" script on the hood, along with hand-painted pinstripes down the side. The interior boasts leather from Bridge of Weir in Scotland in shades of beige and brown with contrasting green stitching.
These customized Defenders are based on the original model built from 2012 to 2016 and come equipped with a 5-liter V8 engine producing 399 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The 110 model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Dominic Elms, Director of Land Rover Classic, stated that this project showcases the company's customization capabilities and the result of a collaborative creative process with the client.
The price for the four bespoke Defenders has not been disclosed, but considering the Classic Defender 110 costs over $250,000, it's possible that the total price for the four vehicles could exceed $1 million. In addition to these unique Defenders, Land Rover Classic has introduced a new 9-inch touchscreen for its classic models, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as options for a DAB radio, graphic equalizer, and reversing camera.
