Pour yourself a cold drink and get comfortable, as we dive into some exciting Eurocentric car news. Fiat has just unveiled the Multiplina concept, a cute four-seat vehicle with a roll-up soft-top roof, reminiscent of the classic Fiat 600 Multipla from the 1950s.
In other news, Fiat USA has confirmed the arrival of the first Topolino models in the United States. Although the cars are blurred in the photos, their small size and stout posture are unmistakable. We're still waiting for more information on the Topolino's US market positioning, but it's likely to be revealed soon.
Fiat has also introduced two new special editions of the Topolino. The first is the Topolino New Vilebrequin Collector's Edition, a collaboration with French swimwear brand Vilebrequin. This limited edition model features a closed body, two-tone paint, and a roll-up soft-top roof, with only 200 units available for Italy and France.
The second new variant is the Topolino Sport Special Edition, which adds a sporty twist to the microcar without increasing its power output. It comes with four new color options, three stripe colors, black headlight frames, matte black wheels, black mirror caps, and a carbon-inspired vinyl wrap in the interior.
The Multiplina concept, on the other hand, is described by Fiat as "the missing link between a Topolino and a car." It has two doors, seating for four, and a similar roll-up soft-top roof to the Topolino. Although we wouldn't bet on Fiat bringing a production version to the US, it's an interesting concept that could potentially fill a gap in the market.
