A shocking incident of road rage in California involving a C6 Corvette driver who allegedly slashed another driver's tire at a red light has been captured on dashcam video. The incident, which occurred on June 30 around 9 o'clock in the morning in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Gardena, began as an apparent road rage incident between the Corvette driver and the driver of a gray Acura RDX.
According to the dashcam video, the Acura RDX turned onto the street and appeared to cut in front of the Corvette. The Corvette driver then changed lanes and pulled alongside the Acura, continuing for about one block before the Acura moved into the left-hand turn lane. The Corvette erratically cut across two lanes of traffic and partially into the turning lane, then pulled up next to the Acura at a red light.
The Corvette driver then parked the car, stepped out, and headed towards the Acura. After briefly appearing to shout at the driver through the passenger window, the woman then headed to the front passenger side of the Acura and appeared to plunge a knife or other sharp object into the right-front tire. As she headed back to her car, the driver of the Acura exited his vehicle and quickly looked at his tire, then seemingly made a move for the Corvette's front-left tire, with the motion of his arm suggesting he may be attempting to take off the valve stem.
The Corvette driver ignored the red traffic light and drove off through the intersection. By the time the Corvette left the scene, the tire on the Acura already appeared deflated, leaving the driver to watch the C6 drive away before climbing back into his SUV.
