Audi's new Nuvolari supercar features a V-8 hybrid powertrain, which combines a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine with three axial-flux electric motors to produce 987 horsepower. The Nuvolari will accelerate from zero to 124 mph in just 6.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of over 217 mph.
The Nuvolari shares a powertrain with the Lamborghini Temerario, but its unique carbon-fiber body sets it apart. Audi will only build 499 copies of the Nuvolari supercar, which is named after Tazio Nuvolari, a legendary Italian racing driver.
The Nuvolari's interior is focused on driving, with physical switchgear on the steering wheel and no cupholders or wireless phone charger. The Nuvolari will have a starting price of around $687,000, and production is slated to start in early 2027.
Unlike some Audi models, the Nuvolari features a center-lock design on its forged-aluminum wheels. The Nuvolari is also the first Audi to feature a carbon-fiber body, showcasing the company's ability to innovate and push boundaries in the automotive industry.
