The Alpina brand, recently relaunched under the BMW umbrella and called BMW Alpina, will soon feature a familiar nameplate: XB7. Rumor has it that the newly formed luxury brand will offer its own version of the next-generation BMW X7 SUV, wearing unique styling and a far more upscale interior.
The last XB7 went out of production in 2026, but the new one won't likely go on sale until 2029. We expect to see a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine under the hood, producing around 600 horsepower, and styling inspired by the Vision BMW Alpina concept car. BMW Alpina says its mission will be to offer high performance alongside high luxury, with a lot of opportunities for customers to spec a bespoke vehicle.
