The stakes are heating up in the compact luxury electric SUV segment as new entrants arrive and attempt to offer more miles per charge per dollar. We now know that the new 2027 Volvo EX60 has a lower base price than its closest rival, the BMW iX3, but it doesn't offer as much estimated driving range.
The least expensive version of the EX60 is the P6 Plus model, which has a 307-mile range estimate, a rear-wheel-drive 369-hp single-motor powertrain, and a starting price of $59,795. There's also a better-equipped Ultra version, which starts at $66,395. By comparison, the BMW iX3 starts at $62,850 and offers up to 434 miles of range.
View Price on AmazonNext in the EX60 lineup is the P10, which has a 322-mile range estimate, an all-wheel-drive 503-hp dual-motor powertrain. The Plus trim starts at $62,145, and the Ultra starts at $68,745.
We'll have to wait a bit for the top version of the EX60, called the P12, which is both the most powerful and offers the most range of the bunch. Volvo claims it will go 400 miles on a charge thanks to its larger battery, and the powertrain also packs quite a punch, with its dual motors producing 670 horsepower. The company has not yet announced pricing for this model, but we expect it will start well into the $70,000 range.
