The 2027 Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale brings a higher level of engagement to the V-12-powered grand tourer, even if it isn't exactly a proper old-school traditional manual. The Manuale effectively provides a simulated manual mode for the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, but with an actual gated shifter and a clutch pedal. Push that clutch pedal in at any speed below 62 mph, and the car activates manual mode, allowing you to handle shifting duties on your own with this neat metal shift knob.
View Price on AmazonFerrari said it aimed to replicate the tactile feeling of its last manual transmission car with a V-12, the 599 GTB Fiorano, which ended production in 2012. The shifter and clutch pedal have no actual connection to the gearbox, instead sending signals electronically via what Ferrari calls "Manuale by Wire" to tell the transmission what you want to do. The manual mode only uses six of the eight gears, and there are no paddle shifts in the 12Cilindri Manuale.
Ferrari says a position sensor makes sure the clutch takeup and release feel natural, and you can apparently even stall the car if your stick-shift skills aren't up to snuff. The powertrain remains untouched, sending 819 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 to the rear wheels. The styling is pretty much identical to the standard 12Cilindri, but there are small Manuale badges on the front fenders.
Ferrari will build 1499 units of the 12Cilindri Manuale, with a starting price of around $675,000.
