The Volkswagen Atlas heads into a new generation for 2027, but before it does, we give its outgoing model one last walk around the block. There's a lot to like about the 2026 VW Atlas, and we imagine most things we don't like will be addressed in its pending new generation.
Our VW Atlas came toting a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The turbo four includes synthesized sound that seems to have the engine believing it's gained a few cylinders. The Atlas's interior is a little on the bland side. That being said, this interior is also positively cavernous, with more than enough room across its three rows.
